Olomouc

OLOMOUC je šestým největším městem České republiky a současně městem statutárním. Žije zde více než 100.000 lidí. V minulosti bývala Olomouc městem královským a také hlavním městem Moravy. Olomouc je sídlem druhé nejstarší univerzity v Českých zemích již od roku 1573. Na Univerzitě Palackého studuje dnes více než 25.000 studentů. Olomouc je také od roku 1777 arcibiskupstvím.

OLOMOUC is the sixth largest city of the Czech Republic and at the same time a statutory city. Over 100,000 inhabitants live here. In the past Olomouc used to be the royal city and the capital of Moravia as well. Olomouc has been the seat of the second oldest university in the Czech lands since 1573. Over 25,000 students study here at the Palacký university nowadays. Olomouc has also been the seat of the archbishopric since 1777.

OLOMOUC ist die sechstgrőβte Stadt der Tschechischen Republik und zugleich eine statutarische Stadt. Mehr als 100.000 Menschen leben hier. In der Vergangenheit war Olomouc eine kőnigliche Stadt und auch die Hauptstadt Mährens. Olomouc ist auch der Sitz der zweitältesten Universität in den Tschechischen Ländern seit dem Jahre 1573. An der Palacký-Universität studieren heutzutage mehr als 25.000 Studenten. Olomouc ist seit dem Jahre 1777 Sitz des Erzbistums.

Olomoucká knížata Svatopluk a Václav začali stavět katedrálu sv. Václava již roku 1104 a roku 1131 byla za přítomnosti biskupa Jindřicha Zdíka vysvěcena. Roku 1306 zde byl 4. srpna zavražděn poslední Přemyslovec Václav III. Dále roku 1469 zde byl korunován králem Matyáš Korvín. A roku 1995 katedrálu navštívil papež Jan Pavel II.

The princes Svatopluk and Václav started to build St. Wenceslas Cathedral in Olomouc already in 1104. The cathedral was consecrated in 1131 by the bishop Jindřich Zdík. The last Přemyslid king Václav III. was assassinated here on 4th August 1306. Then in 1469 Matyáš Korvín became the king in our cathedral. And the pope Johannes Paulus II. visited this cathedral in 1995.

Die Prinzen Svatopluk und Václav (Wenzel auf deutsch) haben bereits im Jahre 1104 begonnen, St. Wenzels Kathedrale zu bauen. Diese Kathedrale wurde im Jahre 1131 vom Bischof Jindřich Zdík eingeweiht. Am 4. August 1306 wurde der letzte Přemyslide Wenzel III. hier ermordet. Weiter im Jahre 1469 wurde in unserer Kathedrale Matyáš Korvín zum Kőnig gekrőnt. Und im Jahre 1995 hat der Papst Johannes Paulus II. unsere Kathedrale besucht.

Zcela rozhodující pro jednu část stavební historie Olomouce byl měšťan, kamenický mistr a privilegovaný císařský architekt v Olomouci Václav Render. Narodil se roku 1669 v Olomouci a jeho největší světoznámé dílo je Sloup Nejsvětější Trojice v Olomouci. Toto skvělé dílo je 32,4 metru vysoké a bylo dokončeno roku 1754. O 246 let později byl Sloup Nejsvětější Trojice zapsán na Seznam Světového kulturního dědictví UNESCO. V tomto skvostném díle se zrcadlí celá historie Olomouce. A já se již těším, až Vám budu moci tuto napínavou historii vyprávět osobně.

The most important person for the development of one part of the civil history of the city Olomouc was the burgher, master stone mason and the privileged imperial architect in Olomouc Václav Render. He was born in Olomouc in 1669 and his largest, most important and world famous work is the Holy Trinity Column in Olomouc. It is 32.4 meters high and it has been finished in 1754. It has been consecrated on 9th September 1754 with Maria Theresia and her royal husband present. 246 years later it has been inscribed in the UNESCO List of the World Cultural Heritage. The whole history of Olomouc has been inscribed in this Holy Trinity Column. Ganz entscheidend fűr einen Teil der Baugeschichte von Olomouc war der Bűrger, Steinmetzmeister und privilegierter kaiserlicher Architekt in Olomouc Václav Render. Er wurde im Jahre 1669 in Olomouc geboren und sein grőβtes und weltberűhmtes Werk ist die Allerheiligste Dreifaltigkeitssäule in Olomouc. Das Werk ist 32,4 Meter hoch und wurde im Jahre 1754 vollendet. 246 Jahre später wurde sie auf die UNESCO Liste der Weltkulturerbe eigetragen. Die ganze Geschichte von Olomouc spiegelt sich in diesem wunderbaren Werk. Ich freue mich schon, Ihnen die spannende Geschichte persőnlich erzählen zu dűrfen.
